What your certificate of completion covers
When you finish a laser welding course with LaserWelder Training, you receive a certificate of completion issued by us. It confirms that you attended the training and completed the required practical and theory work for the course you booked. It is useful for workshop records, supplier files, internal audits and proof of training for a supervisor or manager.
The certificate is linked to the learner details we captured during enrolment, so your name, course title and completion details need to be correct. If you spot a spelling issue or an error in your company name, let us know as soon as possible so we can check the record before anything is reissued.
How to request a certificate check
If you are not sure whether your certificate has been prepared, start by sending an enquiry through the contact page. Include your full name, the date you trained, the course location and the company name if the booking was done on behalf of a workshop. This helps us find your learner record faster.
- Use the contact form on our contact page
- Enter the learner name exactly as used during booking
- Include the course date and training branch if you know it
- Add a short note if you need a duplicate copy or corrected details
For group bookings, it helps to list every learner who should be checked. That is especially useful for workshops in Boksburg, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town and Polokwane where more than one person may have attended the same session.
Learner record documents and what they are for
Along with the certificate of completion, some learners may need a learner record document for filing or internal admin. This document helps show what course was completed and can be used by a business to keep a clean training file for operators, supervisors and workshop staff. It is also helpful when a company wants to track refresher visits or future training needs.
We keep the details linked to the training session so that records are easier to confirm later. If a manager is asking for proof of attendance after a site change or staff transfer, the learner record can make that process simpler and quicker.
- Proof for workshop training files
- Support for internal safety records
- Useful when planning refresher visits
- Handy for multi-site businesses with staff moving between branches
Before you ask for a reissue or correction
Please check the details on the original booking first. Small errors often come from a misspelt name, an old surname, or a company abbreviation entered differently at registration. If the learner record was booked under a workshop name, that should also be included in your request.
When you send through a correction request, mention exactly what needs changing and what should stay the same. If the certificate is being requested after a move, a change of supervisor, or a delayed admin handover, tell us that too. It saves back-and-forth and helps us sort the matter without delay.
- State the incorrect detail and the correct one
- Attach any supporting booking information if available
- Say whether you need a fresh copy or a record check only
- Use the contact form rather than sending loose messages across different channels
Why certificate details matter for workshops
In laser welding, training records matter because the work involves handheld equipment, eye protection, controlled work areas and fume extraction. A proper record helps a workshop show that operators received practical training on safe use, basic setup, and the right way to work around reflections, heat and airborne fumes. For sites dealing with load-shedding or tight production windows, a clear record also helps supervisors plan who can operate the equipment and who still needs a refresher.
For businesses in coastal areas like Durban or Cape Town, or in dusty industrial zones around Gauteng, good records are part of keeping training organised. If you are setting up a starter kit, or reviewing a new operator's readiness, the certificate and learner record can support your internal process. It is a simple document but very useful when people move fast and paperwork gets left behind.
What happens after we receive your enquiry
Once your enquiry comes in, our team checks the learner details and the training file. If everything matches, we can advise you on the next step for your certificate or learner record request. If something needs to be confirmed, we will ask for the missing detail before moving ahead.
Our training and support team handles these checks from the Boksburg base and assists learners and workshops across South Africa. Whether you trained through Boksburg Training, East Rand Training, Gauteng Training or one of our other service areas, the process starts the same way: send the details through the contact form and we will take it from there.
- Enquiry received through the contact page
- Learner record checked against the training details
- Correction or reissue advice provided if needed
- Follow-up support available for workshops and individual learners
