Terms of use

These Terms of Use govern access to the LaserWelder Training website and the information, services and materials offered through it. By using the site, making an enquiry or booking training, you agree to these terms and to comply with all applicable South African laws.

Use of the Website and Site Material

The website is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd for LaserWelder Training, a Boksburg based training provider serving learners and workshops across Gauteng and South Africa. The site is provided for lawful business enquiries, course information, starter kit information and support requests related to handheld laser welding training.

You may view, print or save content for personal or internal business reference only. You may not copy, republish, alter or redistribute text, images, layouts, training notes or documents from this site without prior written permission. Any unauthorised use of site content is not allowed and may result in access being restricted.

Bookings, Enquiries and Course Places

Course places are limited and are only confirmed once LaserWelder Training has accepted the booking enquiry and issued written confirmation. Information supplied through the contact page must be complete and accurate, including the learner name, company details where relevant, site location and any access requirements. If details are incomplete or misleading, a booking may be delayed or declined.

  • Enquiries are handled through the contact form on the website.
  • Training dates, class sizes and venue details are confirmed in writing.
  • LaserWelder Training may adjust schedules where trainer availability, site conditions or safety requirements make this necessary.
  • Operator Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd manages the website enquiries on behalf of the business.

Handheld Laser Welding Training and Learner Responsibility

Laser welding involves concentrated light energy, controlled beam placement, shielding, eye protection and proper workholding. Learners are expected to follow all instructions given during operator inductions, safety briefings, practice sessions and supervisor coaching. If a learner arrives unfit for training, ignores instructions or behaves in a way that creates risk, the instructor may stop the session.

Participants remain responsible for their own conduct, for using equipment correctly and for applying safe working methods after training. The course content is practical and industry focused, but it does not remove the need for local workshop rules, site permits, municipal fire precautions or other workplace controls that may apply in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Polokwane and surrounding areas.

Safety, Eye Protection and Fume Extraction

Handheld laser welding equipment must only be used with suitable laser class controls, approved eye protection and proper fume extraction or ventilation. Training may cover workshop layout, reflection hazards, cable management, consumable handling and clean-up procedures. Learners must use the right protective gear and keep the work area clear of flammables, liquids and trip hazards. A tidy bay is not optional, it is part of safe welding practice.

  • Do not operate laser equipment without the specified eye protection.
  • Use extraction or ventilation suitable for smoke, vapour and fine particulates.
  • Keep unauthorised persons away from the welding area.
  • Report damaged leads, lenses, shields or controls before use.
  • Follow all site rules for lockout, access control and emergency response.

If safety conditions are not suitable, training may be paused until the issue is corrected. This includes poor ventilation, unsafe power arrangements, or an area that cannot be secured from passers-by or other workers.

Starter Kits, Setup Support and Practical Limits

Starter kits supplied through LaserWelder Training are intended to support learning and basic workshop use. Kit contents may vary depending on the selected package, stock availability and the learner’s application. Starter kit setup, consumables planning and technical help are offered to assist with commissioning and routine use, but each workshop remains responsible for its own equipment condition and operating environment.

Any advice given on workflow, practice plans or refresher visits is general guidance based on practical experience. It does not replace the instructions supplied with equipment, workplace procedures or a competent person’s assessment of the task. Coastal humidity, dust, power interruptions and limited workshop space can all affect performance, so users should plan accordingly and service equipement before faults become costly.

  • Starter kits are for training and entry level use unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Consumables should be selected for the specific material and joint type.
  • Tools and accessories must be stored dry and handled carefully.
  • Set-up support is provided to help learners get started correctly.

Certificates of Completion and Document Packs

Where a learner completes the required course work and practical components, LaserWelder Training may issue a certificate of completion from LaserWelder Training only. That certificate confirms participation and completion of the training programme delivered by the business. It does not claim external accreditation unless expressly stated in writing by LaserWelder Training.

Training document packs, checklists, reference notes and related materials remain the property of LaserWelder Training unless otherwise agreed. These documents are provided to support learning, supervisor coaching and internal record keeping. They may not be altered, sold or issued to third parties as if they were issued by another body.

While reasonable care is taken to keep website information current, no guarantee is given that all material will be complete, error free or suitable for every workshop. LaserWelder Training and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd are not responsible for indirect loss, downtime, missed production, site damage or injury arising from misuse of information, failure to follow safety steps, or use of equipment outside the intended purpose.

Personal information supplied through the contact page is used to respond to enquiries, manage training arrangements and provide related support.
